I have made several SoulCollage cards, which are a wonderful way to dive into your inner, intuitive world. Once you’ve made the cards, you can randomly pull a card and read it in context of what’s going on in your life. In the card I selected the other day, a long line of mothers anchors a baby to the past. Mother birds nurture their young just as these mothers nurtured each of their own young, far back into history. The chain is unbroken, giving that baby a share in all of human history, in fact, all of the history of this earth, and indeed the universe.
In looking at this card, I realized that each one of us is the culmination of our experiences. Even more than that, we are the culmination of the experiences of our parents, and their parents, back into the dim mists of the new earth. We share the same molecules and energy as Einstein, and Da Vinci, and Jesus and Moses and Lao Tsu and dinosaurs and the early volcanoes that formed life on this earth. Knowing this, how can any of us be commonplace? How can we be lonely? We are the apex of life on this earth at this point of time, and share in all the wonder and love and joy in living. We are united in this life, as much as we like to perceive our separateness, and are each unique in our particular expression of life.
So, how will you express your life today? Will you revel in the unity of all existence, knowing your place as a child of God? Try, just for one day, to acknowledge your own greatness, this culmination of eons of creation, and really feel your place in the great pageant. You will be amazed at the perspective this gives you on what’s happening around you….
